Joliet Junior College (JJC) has created the JJC Job Shadow Program to provide currently enrolled students with the opportunity to shadow, observe, and learn from professionals in a career field of interest.
This program is designed to support career exploration and offer early exposure to career pathways aligned with JJC’s academic programs and industry partners. Students are not expected to have prior job experience in the field. In fact, students with little to no professional experience are strongly encouraged to participate. The JJC Job Shadow Program helps students connect classroom learning to real-world environments — because at JJC, success starts here.
The JJC Job Shadow Program experiences are designed to be short-term, typically lasting between 4–8 hours on-site with a single employer partner. Experiences are scheduled to take place during spring break, March 9–13, 2026, or on a mutually agreed-upon date during the fall or spring term. There is no cost to participate in the program for either students or employer partners. For questions or additional information, please contact Career Services at careers@jjc.edu or call 815-280-2756.
