Prepare for an Interview

Interviewing is your opportunity to convince the employer that your qualifications and experiences have prepared you to be successful in the role you’re applying for. Find essential tips and resources to help you excel in job interviews. Discover common questions, strategies to showcase your skills, and expert advice to boost your confidence and success.

  • Research the Company: Learn about the company’s details, including its mission, values, services, and recent news. Knowing this information shows your interest and helps you tailor your responses to the company’s goals.
  • Practice Common Interview Questions: Prepare answers for typical interview questions such as “Tell me about yourself” and “Why do you want to work here?” Practice your responses aloud and consider making an appointment for a mock interview.
  • Showcase Relevant Skills and Experiences: In your interview, be sure to highlight your skills gained through coursework, internships, part-time jobs, volunteer work, or extracurricular activities.
  • Prepare Questions for the Interviewer: Prepare approximately 3-5 questions to ask the interviewer about the company culture, specific projects, or anything else related to the position. Asking insightful questions demonstrates your interest in the role and company.
