Career Services at Joliet Junior College is a member of the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE). In alignment with our commitment to ethical, equitable, and transparent recruiting practices, JJC expects students, alumni, and employers to adhere to the NACE Principles for Professional Conduct.
These principles guide professional behavior in career services and college recruiting, promoting fairness, integrity, equal opportunity, and informed decision-making throughout the hiring process.
Employers engaging with JJC and students utilizing Career Services resources are expected to conduct themselves in a manner consistent with these nationally recognized standards.
Eligibility to Participate in On-Campus Recruiting
Career Services reserves the right to determine employer eligibility consistent with JJC policies and the NACE Principles for Professional Conduct.
Guidelines for Employers Conducting On-Campus Recruiting
Scheduling
- Employers must submit OCR requests information tables through Handshake.
- Requests are reviewed and approved within 3-5 business days, in the order received.
Facility Use
Spaces arranged by Career Services are to be used solely for recruiting and engagement activities with JJC students, alumni, and eligible community members.
Employer Conduct & Complaint Review
Career Services reserves the right to investigate complaints regarding employers or job postings associated with JJC recruitment activities. If a complaint is substantiated, Career Services may:
- Suspend or revoke employer recruiting privileges
- Remove job postings
- Report concerns to appropriate agencies, if necessary
Employers will receive written notification if a matter warrants formal review.
